Hello all, my name is Mike Grundy. I’m a Red Seal Carpenter and I’ve started a construction company, A Cut Above Contracting Ltd. I’m excited for all opportunities that come from this.

A bit about me:
When I was a younger, I was always excited about building and helping my Dad renovate the family house. I had dreams of building houses. As soon as I could, I started my apprenticeship. I completed all the technical training at BCIT and was successful on the “Interprovincial Red Seal” exam in 2019. Since completing my apprenticeship, I’ve worked towards getting additional “tickets” from upgraded drivers licences to training on heavy equipment. I’ve also worked hard to expand my knowledge further throughout all the construction trades, mostly in excavation work.

During my apprenticeship I was fortunate to have worked on small to large scale renovations as well as new builds for custom houses. I also have experience in excavation, drainage and demolition.
